First Lady Togetta Ulmer

     jpg048.JPGMrs. Togetta Ulmer is one of the most honorable women of this contemporary age.  Her beauty radiates from the inside out refreshing the lives of all those who experience her.  As First Lady of the Faithful Central Bible Church the greatest evidence of the success of her ministry is displayed in her support of her husband. Since her arrival some thirty years ago she has supported Bishop Kenneth C. Ulmer and the membership.  She received Christ as her personal savior at the age of 10 at the Southern Tabernacle Baptist Church in Brooklyn, Illinois.

     Integrity and fortitude coupled with an ingenious business background is the winning profile for the pioneers of our society.  Sister Togetta Ulmer is such a leader with a proven track record in both spiritual and secular arenas.  In May 1972 Togetta received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Education from Southern Illinois University, which launched her professional career.  As a professional, Sister Togetta climbed the corporate ladder aggressively and assertively excelling as a leader on the executive level.  She functioned as Assistant Vice President of California Federal Savings and Loan, Credit Line Department servicing the entire state of California for 5 years.  She also performed as Assistant Vice President for the First Los Angeles Bank, Consumer Loan Department.  Cumulatively, Sister Togetta has over 15 years of professional experience with recognition among both her peers and leaders.

     This lady of vision is not only a gifted executive, but is equally as dynamic as a spiritual leader and counselor of women.  She was the co-leader of the Rev. Sister Conference and the Chosen Woman Conference.  She has been the leader of the Minister’s Wives Ministry planning marriage retreats, seminars, bible studies and women’s events.  She has co-led marriage discipleship groups with her husband of thirty-five years, Bishop Kenneth C. Ulmer allowing the Holy Spirit to spiritually enrich the lives of numerous couples.  Sister Togetta was a member of the Westchester Division of the Community Bible Study organization.  She has served as the guest speaker for women’s groups ranging from casual bible studies to guest speaker of the South African Women’s Alliance in Johannesburg, South Africa, GPN – Free To Soar Conference in Florida.

     Space will not permit us to display all of the accomplishments of this great woman of God, but we will conclude by stating that Sister Togetta is a devoted wife and mother.  She and her husband, Bishop Kenneth C. Ulmer, are the parents of RoShaun Windham, Keniya Moore and Kendan Ulmer.  They reside in Los Angeles, California.
