2 Corinthians 6:10
…sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; poor, yet making many rich; having nothing, and yet possessing everything.
Daily Prayer
Father, I pray that I would have a lasting joy and inner peace, no matter what difficulties arise.
Philippians 3:12-14
Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
Daily Prayer
Father, help me to press on toward the goal of my calling in Christ Jesus, trusting in Him to overcome every problem, disappointment, and challenge I may face.
Philippians 3:7-9
But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith.
Daily Prayer
Father, I pray that I would heal from my losses and accept Your will for my life.
Romans 2:7
To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life.
Daily Prayer
Father, I pray that through faith, I would patiently continue in doing Your good will to obtain the eternal life You promised.

Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts on Jesus, whom we acknowledge as our apostle and high priest.
Daily Prayer
Father, I pray that I will keep my thoughts on Jesus who is interceding for me.
Colossians 3:1-4
Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.
Daily Prayer
Father, I pray I will keep my mind on heavenly things as I await Christ’s appearing knowing that He is my life and that I will appear with Him in glory.
1 Peter 1:13
Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at his coming.
Daily Prayer
Father, I help me to be sober-minded, alert, and live in grace as see myself and others.
1 Corinthians 9:24-27
Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air. No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.
Daily Prayer
Father, I pray that I run this race of life with self-control and discipline so I will receive my eternal rewards.
Philippians 2:14-15
Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky.
Daily Prayer
Father, I pray that I would find delight in my life. May I walk in patience and love towards myself and others.
Philippians 2:12-13
Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.
Daily Prayer
Father, I pray that I would work out my sanctification in the power of the Holy Spirit with reverence, even when no one is watching.
Ephesians 4:11-14
So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
Daily Prayer
Father, I pray that I would joyfully receive the training from the leaders You have given to equip me for service, to build up the Body of Christ.
Lamentation 3:40
Let us examine our ways and test them,
and let us return to the Lord.
Daily Prayer
Father, I pray that I can see when I have strayed from your ways and give me the mind to turn back to You.
2 Corinthians 7:1
Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.
Daily Prayer
Lord, thank You for the promise to be with me and to be my Father. Help me to cleanse myself from everything that contaminates my body and spirit.
Romans 8:12-13
Therefore, brothers and sisters, we have an obligation—but it is not to the flesh, to live according to it. For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live.
Daily Prayer
Father, I pray that I will habitually put to death the sinful deeds of my body by the power of the Holy Spirit, so I will live forever.
James 1:25
But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.
Daily Prayer
Father, thank you for the blessing that comes from keeping my heart focused on the truth of Your word that frees me.
Philippians 2:5-8
In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:
Who, being in very nature God,
did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;
rather, he made himself nothing
by taking the very nature of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
And being found in appearance as a man,
he humbled himself
by becoming obedient to death—
even death on a cross!
Daily Prayer
Father, I pray that I would emulate your humility to find true contentment and unity.
Philippians 2:3-4
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.
Daily Prayer
Father, I pray that I do nothing with selfish motives but value others above myself.
Colossians 3:12-14
Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
Daily Prayer
Father, because You have chosen me, set me apart, and love me, I pray that I intentionally walk in humility, with forgiveness and love for others.
Isaiah 58:5-7
Is this the kind of fast I have chosen,
only a day for people to humble themselves?
Is it only for bowing one’s head like a reed
and for lying in sackcloth and ashes?
Is that what you call a fast,
a day acceptable to the Lord?
“Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen:
to loose the chains of injustice
and untie the cords of the yoke,
to set the oppressed free
and break every yoke?
Is it not to share your food with the hungry
and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter—
when you see the naked, to clothe them,
and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?
Daily Prayer
Father, I pray that my humility would be selfless, compassionate, and sincere.
